Morning Memo/Saturday: Mega Millions numbers … Josh Powell … Former WSU QB arrested
 
Weather: Is it silly to tell you there’s 100 percent chance of rain when you can look outside and see that for yourself? The National Weather Service warns rain may be heavy throughout the day, with a high near 48. The National Weather Service forecast.

Mega Millions winners: The winning numbers are 2-4-23-38-46, Mega Ball: 23. Lottery ticket-holders in Kansas, Illinois and Maryland each selected the winning numbers, leaving us Washingtonians disgruntled with our losing tickets. We knew it was a long shot, but it’s sure easy to get your hopes up.

Josh Powell: Search-warrant affidavits unsealed in Pierce County Superior Court Friday revealed that Utah investigators who searched Powell’s home and car found traces of his wife’s blood less than 24 hours after she disappeared. They also found a concealed letter from Susan in which she warned that she feared for her life. Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist said if his office had conducted the investigation, they would have charged Powell.
Ex-NFL quarterback arrested: Ryan Leaf, a former standout quarterback for Washington State, was arrested Friday in Montana on burglary and drug possession charges. Leaf was the No. 2 pick in the 1998 NFL draft, but failed to impress as quarterback for the San Diego Chargers.
